Participation Conditions and Rules
Registration and Refund Policy
- Registration is personal and cannot be transferred to another person or to another event.
- Refund requests made after 7 days of registration will be processed with a 30% deduction. (This applies to refund requests submitted before February 22.)
- Course changes are not permitted after February 22, 2026.
- Participants who have registered with a refundable entry fee are eligible for a 100% refund if they cancel their registration by February 22, 2026.
Health and Age Requirements
- Participants under the age of 18 may only take part in the 6K and 12K races with a parental consent form.
- Age categories are defined as under 39, 40–49, and 50 and above. (There are no age categories for the 6K course; participants will be evaluated only in the overall classification.)
- For the VMT27K, EST42K, EMT61K, and EUM120K courses, participants must provide a medical certificate issued within the last 6 months stating that they are fit to compete, or hold a valid sports federation license.
- Participants aged 65 and over must present a medical report including an ECG and approval from a cardiologist in order to compete.
Race Procedures and Safety
- It is the participant’s responsibility to follow the course markings while running. Getting lost (running off course) is part of the nature of trail running.
- Participants must stay on the course marked by the organization throughout the race. Markings are placed at intervals ranging from a minimum of 10 meters to a maximum of 100 meters, depending on the terrain.
- The organization reserves the right to make changes to the course prior to the race. Any changes will be communicated to participants before the race.
- Parts of the course may pass through roads open to traffic. It is the participant’s responsibility to comply with traffic rules, remain alert to vehicles, and ensure safe passage.
Race Kit, Equipment and Awards
- Each participant must sign their own waiver form; therefore, only the participant may collect their own race kit at the kit distribution desk.
- Participants who are unable to attend the race may have their race kit collected by a friend during the event. Shipping is not available.
- Mandatory equipment checks will be conducted at the kit distribution desk and at the start. Participants who fail to present their mandatory equipment at the kit desk will not be allowed to collect their race kit.
- A 15-minute time penalty will be applied for each missing item during the mandatory equipment check.
- If an athlete cannot attend the award ceremony, their award may be collected by another person with a signature. Awards will not be shipped after the ceremony.
Awards
There are no cash prizes; however, sponsor awards may be provided.
Participants who place in the race will receive a trophy/plaque.
Participants who place in the overall classification will not be eligible for age group awards.
Disqualification
- A 15-minute time penalty will be applied for each missing mandatory item during equipment checks.
- A runner who discards a water bottle in nature will be disqualified. (A participant reported by two runners for littering a water bottle will be disqualified.)
- Grounds for disqualification include:
- Failing to pass through any checkpoint
- Taking shortcuts or using any form of transportation
- Leaving a participant in need of assistance without helping
- Refusing to be checked by medical staff
- Refusing mandatory equipment checks by the organization
- Receiving assistance outside designated checkpoints
Runners who are disqualified will not be allowed to continue the race.
Registration and Entry Fee
Participants with disabilities may benefit from a 50% discount on the entry fee and can take part in the event with equipment suitable for the course.
